Alfabeto tebano - Theban alphabet

[ENGLISH BELOW] L'alfabeto tebano è un alfabeto crittografico con antiche e misteriose origini.
Conosciuto anche come alfabeto delle streghe appare per la prima volta in Polygraphiae di Giovanni Tritemio del 1518 dove viene citato attribuendo la sua creazione a Onorio di Tebe , anche se di questa attribuzione non ci sono le fonti in quanto non compare negli scritti di Onorio. Successivamente nel 1531 viene citato da Agrippa nel suo De Occulta Philosophia. Il suo utilizzo arriva infine nelle correnti neo pagane da Gerald Gardner che lo adotta e introduce nella Wicca.
Essendo un alfabeto crittografico, ogni lettera va a sostituire una lettera dell'alfabeto latino , eccetto per alcune, per questo si pensa che le sue origini possano essere realmente più antiche.
Le sue reali origini però e la sua fonetica sono tutt'ora sconosciute.
Questo antico alfabeto viene da sempre utilizzato per creare talismani , durante i rituali e inciso su candele e strumenti , si crede che nel corso dei secoli sia stato utilizzato per tramandare antico sapere scritto , non comprensibile a tutti, sopravvivendo così nel tempo.

The Theban alphabet is a cryptographic alphabet with ancient and mysterious origins.
Also known as the alphabet of witches, it appears for the first time in Polygraphiae by Giovanni Tritemio of 1518 where it is quoted attributing its creation to Honorius of Thebes, even if there are no sources of this attribution since it does not appear in the writings of Honorius. Later in 1531 it was mentioned by Agrippa in his De Occulta Philosophia. Its use finally arrives in the neo-pagan currents by Gerald Gardner who adopts it and introduces it into Wicca.
Being a cryptographic alphabet, each letter replaces a letter of the Latin alphabet, except for some, so it is thought that its origins can actually be more ancient.
Its real origins, however, and its phonetics are still unknown.
This ancient alphabet has always been used to create talismans, during the rituals and engraved on candles and instruments, it is believed that over the centuries it has been used to pass on ancient written knowledge, not understandable to all, thus surviving over time.
